Due to the sensitive nature of the intelligence handled within this role you may be required to complete enhanced external security screening. Responsibilities

• Act as an escalation point for the business on complex or internal investigations and queries;

• Review, assess, provide, respond and disseminate intelligence via JMLIT / law enforcement, ensuring senior leadership are briefed as appropriate;

• Produce monthly MI for distribution as directed by the MLRO/DMLRO;

• Represent the Bank on various external law enforcement and sector wide panels/projects - acting as a point of contact;

• Provide ongoing review of Transaction Monitoring against emerging typologies;

• Produce frequent emerging threat assessment papers for the MLRO / CRO;

• Responsible for the annual REPCRIM regulatory submission;

• Conduct thematic/planned reviews as instructed by the MLRO/DMLRO;

• Support in the delivery of monthly Quality Assurance across 1LoD investigations;


• Knowledge of AML legislation / regulation and preventive measures

• Knowledge of money laundering typologies and trends for financial services

• Experience of completing investigations

• Experience using transaction monitoring tools to identify suspicious activity

• Able to draw on conclusions based on relevant data and make the right decisions, considering both the business and customer outcomes.

• Established knowledge of JMLSG guidance is preferable

• Meticulous and organised with the ability to manage own workload
