Job Details
Your main challenges:
  • Validate and enter over-the-counter derivative trades in the Murex systems and make sure the financial parameters of each trade are accurate and respect Front Office strategy and directives (P&L, market value, payments, position).
  • Confirm and validate payments on a daily basis and follow up with the various departments involved when variances are detected in our accounts or with the counterparty.
  • Do complex calculations to carry out timely monetary settlements on derivatives.
  • Enter rates, dividends and market values for certain financial instruments and monitor market operations including assignments, exercises, cash settlements, and expiries.
  • Support the Front Office on a daily basis for any specific request.
  • Monitor the integrity of processed information in accordance with the standards and policies in effect (commitment, investigation, validation with the Front Office and the legal confirmations group, trading restrictions and limits).
  • Update and optimize processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of relevant experience
  • Experience in problem-solving for irregular trades
  • Experience in settling transactions, an asset
  • Experience in the operations area of a financial institution, an asset
  • Good knowledge of derivatives in general and treasury products used on institutional markets
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Access, VBA, an asset
  • Knowledge of Murex, SWIFT, ISM, Bloomberg, and Accurate systems, an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure, versatility and interest in learning
  • Ability to work on a team, communication skills and discipline
  • Propensity to offer clients quick, efficient service
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
