An exciting opportunity for an energetic professional at London South Bank University (LSBU) based in the Customer Services team of our Library and Learning Resources (LLR) Department
The purpose of the role is:
To provide customer-focussed Library, Information and IT Support services to a range of customers across LLR service points including IT problem solving for users of varied skills and abilities, and answering library general information and resource related enquiries
To re-shelve library materials and ensure that the library environment is tidy, and assist library users in finding library materials and using library facilities while working on our main collection floors.
To support the work of the customer services sub-teams in LLR which comprise of: User Experience; Technical Resources; Communications and Publications; Collections and Administration; by training in, and contributing to, each area of work on a rotating basis (6 months at a time)
The role is open to all but the training offered in the various Library teams would make it particularly suitable for candidates seeking to start a career in the HE library sector and looking for their first post.

You will be joining a Library and Learning Resources service that prides itself in providing a high level of customer service, demonstrated by our consistently high scores in the National Student Survey.
You will be IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office. Applicants will need to be able to contribute to physical tasks such as shelving and moving equipment.
Working hours offered are 35 hours per week, and will include a regular weekend day (Saturday), and regular evening work (one weekday evening per week during term-time)
We operate flexitime with a core hours pattern on working days.
