About the Role

  • We protect Etsy by ensuring listings qualify to be sold under our guidelines, communicating with sellers about the items listed in their shops, and acting as a primary point of contact for questions about Etsy’s selling criteria.

  • We maintain in-depth knowledge of Etsy’s ever-evolving policies and products.

  • We review and moderate online content within shops and listings, working directly with sellers to ensure that they align with Etsy’s policies.

  • We uphold exemplary service levels in responding to members with prompt, high-quality interactions.

  • We collaborate with partner teams to improve systems and processes.

Qualifications

About You

  • You’re a level-headed rule-follower with the ability to apply policy objectively.

  • You have sound judgment, logical critical thinking skills, and the ability to operate confidently in ambiguous and unfamiliar situations.

  • You have a positive, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-help attitude, and the ability to work well both independently and within a team structure.

  • You have a high level of web savvy with proven internet research skills.

  • You approach obstacles with curiosity and use creative problem solving methods to find quick and effective solutions.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bonus points if you are fluently multilingual.

  • You are comfortable providing and receiving feedback as a regular practice.

  • You handle sensitive topics with composure and maturity. You’re not easily offended.

  • You’re willing to work either a Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday schedule.

  • You have a BA/BS degree (strongly preferred).

  • Fraud investigation, content moderation, or other e-commerce risk management experience is a plus.
