Job Details
As a Patient Service Rep 2 for APP you will have the opportunity to:
  • Perform patient scheduling and respond appropriately to patient inquiries in person and via telephone, following established protocols
  • Check-in patients for appointments and communicate in a professional, courteous manner to obtain pertinent information for their registration prior to and at time of service
  • Process all referral requests by Physicians and patients within a timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to our patients and their family members in a fast-paced environment
  • Receive and document patient payments to include patient co-pays, time of service charges and any past due balances
  • Reconcile cash and charge batches, balancing cash drawer, prepares deposits and reconciles charges to visits
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical terminology and/or college level courses, preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant front-desk customer related experience in a healthcare setting, required
  • Prior experience and demonstrated competence with patient or customer information systems, required
Required Skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to interact with personnel of all levels within the organization and work within a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, possessing strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong customer orientation and an outgoing, pleasant demeanor
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate teamwork to ensure a highly effective team, organize and implement assigned tasks
  • Flexibility schedule to meet department needs for coverage
