Grad School Administrative Coordinator – The Graduate School provides strategic leadership for graduate education at The Ohio State University. It fosters quality in graduate education and research by ensuring high standards for 200 plus graduate degree programs and by providing essential services that support the work of approximately 11,000 graduate students, and more than 3,000 faculty and staff. Each of the regular 25 Graduate School staff members contributes both individually and collectively to meeting the mission of the Graduate School. The Grad School Administrative Coordinator maintains correspondence and records of curricular review of graduate program proposals as they move through the review process at the level of the GS/CAA Subcommittee, Graduate Council, The Council on Academic Affairs and statewide review by the Chancellor’s Council on Graduate Studies (CCGS). The Program Coordinator provides support to the GS/CAA Subcommittee by maintaining a tracking log for review of graduate program proposals, preparing and submitting graduate program proposals to the Graduate Council and the Council on Academic Affairs for approval and support to CC/GS by monitoring requests for reviews sent internally, including those submitted from sixteen member institutions, and prepares material for state meetings via state level servers. The Coordinator provides support to the Assessment Committee by tracking compliance of assessment materials submission from 200-plus graduate programs. The Coordinator provides administrative support to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Office Suite experience and demonstrated skills in written and oral communication. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member.
Experience working in higher education. Experience providing executive administrative support. Demonstrated success working in a diverse student service-oriented environment. Experience with university and graduate student policies/procedures.
